Mehifsa II was a real success, thank you to all who took part and a special thank you to Tara Ibrahim for the wonderful performances and workshop. 

Mehifsa III is already confirmed, it will be on 5th September 2009.

Start guest is Ewa Horsfield, Performer and a teacher from London. 

Ewa doesn't dance to music, she lives! the music" - Sheik Taha, a famous Egyptian musician and composer. A member of Benat al Medina (dance collaboration) for 20 years, she studied Egyptian oriental dance with Sara Farouk and over the past 10 years with Raqia Hassan, Randa Kamel and Lubna Emam amongst many others during regular visits to Cairo. She was one of the first to gain a certificate from the Raqia Hassan Intensive Winter Course for Teachers in Cairo.

Planet Egypt star performer Ewa appeared in Khaled Mahmoud's Egyptian Moonlight ; as an Artist in Residence for Bellyworld Silk Route ; as a Belly Dancer  in the film Room to Rent and in many others.

Ewa collaborates with her husband, international artist, Craigie Horsfield. Pictures of her are in the collections of museums around the world.

Ewa has had a life long engagement with world music which has influenced her unique style.
